My allegedly superfast BT Infiniti connection has been struggling all day so I can't access many websites. Almost want the situation to continue if our manager really believes we were "outstanding" today. It's just verbal diarrhoea and simply confirms footballers operate in a different universe to the rest of us.
Wish he could be appointed manager of the office where I work, I'd probably get awarded bonuses for turning up no later than 30 minutes late. Then be cuddled after achieving about 25% of the businesses' targets. Been a Liverpool fan since adolescence but completely empathise with Stanley Park!
It's just a matter of time before something gives. If after the first 10 games of next season we're languishing in 7th place or less again, the pressure will be on BR. He'll either have to take the blame for buying the wrong players and his methods, tactics etc... else he'll have to start publicly stating that FSG didn't support him in the transfer market. Either that, or he'll be with FSG in trying to dumb down expectations - which won't go down well with the fans.
The heat's is rising, there pressure's building and at some point soon the whistle will blow.
'I was only in the game for the love of football - and I wanted to bring back happiness to the people of Liverpool.' Bill Shankly
'We should have made a signing or two in the last couple of transfer windows.' Vish
