We will never know but I think we would be better off today had we kept with Hodgson. I think he would have built something and as carheex says would not have wasted so much money.

Hodgson came in at a bad time. I think had he stayed and been given £100m to spend we would have been better than with Dalglish. We will never know though.

As for England, we'll never get better while all our players at in the EPL unless we play like we do in the EPL. We try and play a slow passing continental type game but our players aren't good enough technically for that. If we played with premier league pace and intensity we could fair better. I think that's the only reason we do well in Europe most seasons. It's not down to ability that's for sure.

Thankfully we will never know,I'm just baffled as to people's new found confidence in Hodgson being able to take us to the promise land.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

No one is saying Hodgson is great. We're just saying that we'd have been better off with him rather than dalglish. Neither are good enough to really, and neither is Rodgers.

So basically in terms of players and league position we would be no better off.

You don't think our finances matter? They directly impact what happens on the pitch, our successes, and they decide whether our club has a future or not.

I'm certain that we'd be better off, as no other manager in their right mind would have spent the kind of money that kenny did on players that have made us no stronger. That's not to say we'd be challenging for the league title either though. I think we'd be a bit better off in the league and we'd be in a stronger position to improve because we'd have money to buy good players.
