I wouldn't put our victory down to the Allen substitution. The fact that we won with Allen on the pitch could just be a coincidence - I'm not ready to proclaim Rodgson as a tactical genius yet. Who's to say that Coutinho wouldn't have scored?

If we can win our upcoming fixtures the Everton and Chelsea fixtures will be very important even more so than usual

a bit harsh on BR, but i honestly thought Henderson would come on to add energy in the midfield, Djembele was running it at that point. Allen to be fair got in and around him and we started to force several errors in the Spurs team as well as put together several 10+ passes for tne first time since the first 20mins.We got a foothold back in the game.

The equlaiser came because we closed them down quickly and Walker panicked. Just before this they had hit the ball out of play twice.

from there on we looked the likely winner as Downing kept bursting into space and running at Ekotto. For the last 15 we were on the front foot and finshed well. Spurs overall were better than us but it was very close, AVB i thought was complacent at 2-1 and when we equlaised didn't know what to do.

Whether it is a substitution or selection, it's his team that won, so kudos to him. However, saying that he is a tactical genius is very far fetched, in he does it all the time and we are champions, then definitely.

Reported in the last day or two that Allen has had a shoulder injury since October. If so I am guessing it's a rotator cuff and as someone who is going through the rehab at the moment on one it's no joke.

He is probably having injections on it but there is no way he can have any strength there for a midfielder it must be hell. BR says he needs surgery which would mean a large tear.

Surprised he is passed fit to play and it can only be slowing the healing process and would explain a lot in regard his form I would guess.

I heard that too. Read it in the paper, thought about doing a thread on it. It might explain his dip in form and intenisty. He's supposed to have surgery next week.
