Obviously Car feels BR is no better than Hodgson...I don't know, doesn't bother me...I'm more worried about racist and nationalistic comments on here than terms like Rodgson or whiskey nose etc etc...

Either way, regarding the OP , the question is, how much is every penny? I think BR has purchased wisely with Sturridge and Coutinho but I remain to be convinced by him as I think Allen was overpayed and even Borini...I like Borini's work ethic but I would not have gone higher than 7m for him.

Let's see if the owners are serious about LFC or not. If they were to inject another 100mil like they did with KK, I would find it hard not to support them. I don't care about who we sell, or how the funds are generated. There are 2 things I want to see, that is us trying our best to keep hold of Luis Suarez and investing further. Whether we sell Downing, Shelvey and Hendo to generate funds, doesn't really bother me as long as they are replaced with better players.

I just get the feeling FSG see what they want for the Club differently to what we as fans want, we want the glory and they want to make money, there is always going to be problems between us when certain situations are thrown up. I think alot of fans want the City or Chelsea blue print or near as they can too it while FSG want to run the Club like an Arsenal or like Randy Lerner runs Villa...

There is really no debating it, as far as that is concerned, i think you are spot on...I think many of us on here do realise that though. I think only the younger members really believe we can get Cavani and the likes. FSG clearly want to make money. The only difference i do see is that, we arent quite as bad as Arsenal when i comes to transfers, I think our owners do want to spend money but that they are very shrewd about it. However, I do think they are more willing to spend than Arsenal...

Only because we have more money than Arsenal until they have paid for their new stadium in a few years, then they will be spending more than us. Hopefully by then we would have built a 60k stadium at a much lower cost than the Emirates stadium.

The figures to redevelop Anfield to 60k is i think much lower than the cost to build the Emirates...

I disagree. Arsenal make a massive profit on a lot of their signings....
