Most of the time I ignore the rubbish you continually post. Just occasionally though you post something so staggeringly ridiculous that I can't help myself. Some figures for you to think about :

Turnover Figures

LFC - £184 million (4th highest in the prem)

Average Attendance

44,690 (5th highest)

Worldwide fans

> 100 million (currently the 6th most supported club in the world)

Transfer Spend over the last two years

76 million nett (2nd highest)

I'd love to know which of these makes you think we don't have the resources to compete for top four ? You clearly don't think very much before you type, but before you do reply I suggest you go and look at the comparable figures for Everton & West Brom. You might learn something.

well if this is true there is something seriously wrong with our football club because we are seeing absolutely no benefit or evidence of this money out on the pitch, this fantastic fanbase and turnover your banging on about must be getting swallowed up somewhere...

Financial & attendance figures are all true and published by the club. The worldwide fans one is the hardest to quantify as it depends on various sources such as facebook likes, LFC website visits, overseas TV viewing figures etc etc.

Where has the money gone is a good question as I've not seen them report any profit figures (could have missed this though). Can't really complain about the transfer spend - only Chelsea have spent more over the past two years, I think we're slowly starting to see the benefit on the pitch of this now, but we need to continue spending like this over the next couple of years to get back to where we were 5 years ago.

to be honest with you Basil I take no notice of fanbase figures because for me the modern fan is not a reliable fan for me and dont support a club in the same way as we do here, they may buy a Liverpool shirt when it comes out but the season after the same fan will buy a Chelsea or City shirt or whoever is on top or winning, this is just modern football in general and people need to understand and not judge the fan loyalty in the same way as it is here. The facts you have provided are all well and good but for me when we as a football club start to benefit from them then thats when I will start to believe but until then as it stands all we are is a mid table club who charge its fans champions league prices for a mediocre product...

Using that logic they wouldn't be buying LFC shirts now, yet we're still comfortably in the top 10 most supported clubs in the world

The figures I quoted show we have the resources and are spending enough on players to be in the top 4. Nothing more, nothing less.

Great result. Another 4 goals and another clean sheet. Luis now PL top scorer, a couple of great assists from Coutinho and we're now breathing down the Toffees' necks. It's in our hands to jump ahead of them between now and the end of the season - they have to visit Anfield. 3 points behind them, and we have a superior GD.

Be nice to catch them between now and the end of the season. Arsenal are catchable too. Most importantly, another good 3 points, and that's 3 wins on the bounce now. We did it without Sturridge too.

Well done Redmen!

Actually delighted with todays result Faz i know you are to, its a lovely feeling to win away and bang in 4 goals to cant wait for the Spurs game now gonna be a cracker if we get Suarez, Coutinho and Sturridge up top together i just dont think their defence will be able for us, Bale however is the problem Lucas will have to have 1 eye on him constantly for 90 mins

Well like Faz has said, aint beat these in 4 years so it's great to smash them away from home 4-0. Brilliant result hopefully we'll do a job against Tottenham now!
