By the way, i just want to make it clear that i completely agree with your original post about true legends winning things for their clubs, but you then said true legends are known for scoring important goals to win the club titles, what about Gerrard in Istanbul? In 06 against West Ham? I could give you more examples if you like.

Also when u said true legends score goals that leads to titles etc, does this mean that you wouldn't rate the likes of Tony Adams, Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Steve Heighway, Gary Neville (hate to mention him) etc legends also? Or is this another double standard?

firstly, I do understand that all are legends just that some are more than others, this is the point I am trying to make, Gerrard as good as he is cant be put on the same level as your King Ken, Souey, Keegan, Clem, Emlyn, Ray Kennedy or Jimmy Case type players but Gerrard and Carragher are deffo legends but a bit below them if that makes any sense.
There are different classes of world class too, the top ones will always be Pele and Maradaonna, then just below you have the likes of your Cryuff, Muller, Beckenbaur, Best and Charlton e.t.c. then you have your modern world class like Messi, Ronaldo, Zidane, Rivaldo Henri's e.t.c. all fantastic wonderful players but all reached different levels in differnt times.

Because I think world clas is a level and not a performance for that reason I would never put Gerrad, Van Persie or Suarez in that as they have not played at the highest level or been successful enough. Take Gerrard for example, he scored a goal in the champions League final and also in the F.A.Cup final he made direct contributions in both thos games we won, what else has he made a contribution to compared to Zidane who has scored goals that won the World cup final, champions league final and also goals in winning league titles in France, Italy and Spain, same as Henri who won and scored goals in winning League titles in England and Spain and also won a world cup final and Euro Championships, you could say the same about all the other greats like Rivaldo, Figo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu e.t.c. they all done it on more than one occasions while your Gerrrads, Suarez and Shearers only done it on one occassion each so how can they be put on the same world class footing, bit like saying there world class like Xavi and Inniesta considering what the both of those have done in the game.
