Yeah Borini's a tough one to call - he's been unlucky as hell on the injury front.

I think he's looked OK when he's played, but I only remember him playing in pre season / early rounds of the europa league - not to mention he was played out wide as opposed to down the middle, I never understood that.

(Well, I mean Suarez was scoring but BR had no problems switching things up to accommodate Sturridge)

If we got the same money back that we paid for him (as there's teams interested) I'd be OK with that - especially as BR wants to play him out of position.

We all know that if he goes we'll make a loss on him - probably better off keeping him to rotate with Sturridge, atleast give him a run in the striker role before we get shot.

Nice first post by the way Andy!

You sound a little too chipper for the likes of these pages though - don't worry, this place will wear you down in no time at all! laugh

I firmly believe that Rodgers is the man to take us back to where we belong, IF he is given the time.

The season after next? Why is it that AVB at Spurs showed what he was capable of within his first season, despite having a difficult start, Laudrup has already improved over last year and even Clark at WBA. Why is it that BR needs 3 seasons?

Because our players must be slow learners

I'm willing to write off this season, but next season I expect a lot more consistency results wise, if we don't see a challenge for 4th (given that we keep our better players) then my faith in BR will be lost and I'd expect a change. For the time being BR has my support.

Kenny won us a cup in his first full season but we sacked him and we got to the final of the fa cup......but we sacked him.

I think we are playing good football, if we are to improve we need to cut out the errors and improve on our transfer dealings then we will rise like a Phoenix out of the flames and back up the league table.

Stop the goals being conceded and make us hard to beat and BR will be a manager of LFC for years to come.

Encouraging that he has clearly identified this problem. I expect us to be a lot tighter at the back next year. I wonder if our full backs are a bit too attacking though. Johnson is superb going forward but spends most of his time attacking and is often caught out. Same to a slightly lesser extent with Enrique.

It will be the end of next season before we see where Rodgers is taking us, if we have had no improvement by then we probably won`t. We are certainly more of a force going forward than we have been for some time but defensively we are a mess. Experienced players making mistake after mistake and costing us vital goals. recently Carra cocked up ut Agger(especially on set plays) Skrtel and Reina have all been at fault numerous times, add to that Johnsons inability to stay awake when the balls near his box is frightening. This area above all others needs to be turned around, get us a solid back 4 plus a confident keeper and we have enough to get in the top 4
