That's very lame Pops.
It's by no means clear that the team is slowly getting better. The keeper situation is uncertain; the defence is leaking goals; the midfield isn't settled and neither is the front line.
In the last window he bought a kid who we can't expect much from in the short term, and a striker that we'd been linked with for 2 seasons or so.
Whether time is all he needs is by no means certain though I think that we've made our bed now and will have to lie on i for at least another season. I agree with Carheex though that we should not be a club where managers come to learn their trade at our expense.

I look at the past at clubs with expectation levels beyond there means and they always had a management revolving door, united in the 70s and 80s, city under Peter Swales, Spurs under Irvine Scholar and the best of all deadly doug at Villa, even Everton under Philip Cater went through loads...

As for the other clubs, the revolving door policy is regarded as a reason for never finding the lasting success they craved. Fergie 6 years to win a title; Moyes 10 years and Everton are at their peak; Contrast that to Chelsea, Man City - the best money and managers and no sense of stability, ongoing success. I think we need to find someone we can stick with for a long time. It could be BR, but that doesn't mean I'll buy all his BS along the way.

We'll keep going through managers until we get owners who know what a good manager is, or they stumble across one accidentally. We're bound to under achieve and suffer disappointment when the likes of BR is preferred to rafa benitez, louis van gaal or avb. Why exactly did FSG think that a man who has never won a cup or a league and has only ever managed small clubs, would be our best option??? Lunacy.

He was their best option as opposed to ours perhaps. He'd be so chuffed to get such a job that he'd bend over backwards to keep it which means not criticising the owners even if he thought they were doing something wrong. I think unless FSG invest heavily, it's just a matter of time before one party starts to blame the other... probably November next season when we're languihing in 10th place and out of the league cup.

But 10th will be seen as 'ok' for next season, as the expectation levels of the non-thinking fan are managed further and further towards relegation.

I don't think it will be. Even the most ardent BR supporters on here have softened their stand recently. The summer transfer window will be the making or breaking of BR/FSG I think.
If we gets say 2 top players, £20m each, and keep Suarez... then the pressure will be on BR. If we fail to invest or just by kids and/or lose Suarez then BR will be able to blame the owners.

I happen to believe in chopping and changing managers, its the modern way, if you bring in a manager and he is not up to the task ship him in and then ship him out as soon as possible wether it's 6 months, a year or 10 years. The keeping hold of managers like Sir Alex, Wenger and David Moyes no longer works in todays game, do fans honestly think Sir Alex if United brought him in today would be given 6 years to get it right at United now, not in a hundred million years. I personaly dont think Rodgers is the right man, I am not saying he has'nt done some good things since he has been here but for me he has'nt improved us enough, he could of spent his transfer money better, handled certain situations better, his media skills are patronising and his policy on Cups is a disgrace, the man simply has'nt helped himself this season...

The question is this: Do you remove a manager who has ended our season in february and who is no nearer the CL places than the manager he replaced or do you keep him because we need some continuity. BR will walk away from us with his compensation package into another job with a mid-table club and leave us up to our neck in sh1t. He is out of his depth and you only need to look at our season (or lack of one) to see that.
