We beat Everton and Stoke who we would be expected to beat in a knockout competition more than 50% of the time and then lost to Chelsea in those last 13 games.
We did excellently before that to beat the likes of United and City but it was ultimately his shocking performance in the league, particularly the end where there was a regression in the team that sealed his faith Probably, but we should have replaced him with a proven winner, not take a risk as we did. You didn't answer with regards to your expectations on the points tally for every chunk of 5 games, are you happy? I would be happy this season if we got in and around 9 points for every 5 games yes. Would you not? It probably wouldn't get us Champions League but it would have us competitive towards it again.

Kenny was doing well. He bought great talent and now we're seeing the best of those guys. Downing, Henderson and Enrique have been magnificent recently. I still think sacking Kenny was a travesty. He was top quality and we were heading in the right direction. Brendan has taken the club on a downward spiral. o my dear lord, someone is in cuckoo land YOUR not a supporter of LFC, you are a supporter of Brendan Rodgers. Why? i have no idea, but why should he get more time than the previous managers had???? HE ISNT LIVERPOOL'S ANSWER TO FERGUSON!! pretty much sums up your post. you are talking a loaddddddddddd of rubbish

Some people just want to find the tiniest thing in order to moan about Rodgers and state that he should be sacked.
So far I think he has done an ok job and looks to have improved the squad with signing sturridge and continhio.
If we are improving the I personally am happy.
People asking for Rodgers to be sacked, who is there realistically to replace him? No one I can think of. You can't just keep a poor performing manager because 'no one springs to mind' as a better replacement! No manager, regardless of his CV, guarantees success but you have to try and move on and if that means getting rid of the weak link then so be it. One thing is for sure...if you keep somone who isn't up to the job you'll never move forward and improve.

You can't just sack someone every year and expect different results either. Rodgers seems to understand that it could have been a lot better this year, but has also showed his niavity by saying we can get the second spot etc.
His latest signings have been good, showing that he knows the squad better, he has had time to get an idea of what sort of players are needed, something he didn't really have over the summer. I believe that he will choose wisely over the next summer. while he has shown his age at times this season, and has jumped the gun a bit at times. I think that wont be the case as much the coming season. I believe he will learn and improve.

Haven't counted, but have we acheived this in any of the 5 matches so far?

Plus the compensation payouts and extra transfer fees as new managers always want to totally over haul the squads to their own liking. We have improved on last year so don't see what the issue is unless you ha e high standards like we should be top of the league. In the real world, you now have man utd, man city, Chelsea, spurs, and arsenal to compete with so to think we are guaranteed a top 4 finish and if not then sack the manager is a bit crazy in my eyes.

I think with Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho (if he turns out to be the player we think/hope he is) that our options going forward are starting to look really promising. If Rodgers can sort our defence out in the summer with a couple of signings, and maybe a DM, then I think next season we can realistically make a good challenge for 4th.
I would give him atleast till Jan 2014 to continue to build his squad and try to take us forward. If we haven't progressed by then, then it'll be time to assess whether another manager can do a better job
