I don't agree having endured that last night is not the same as switching off a TV channel. Sorry it's not.

It hurts we just do not have to put up with the hopeless team performance but being fleeced and treated like rubbish. A cup of coffee at anfield s £2.20

Yes I am moaning and yes please say to me you don't have to go. No well I bloody well don't you are right, but without idiots like me who is going to pay to keep the club going? I really sense very bad times ahead for the club

It's perfectly straightforward - we are all fans on this site (except the spammers and ManUre/Bluenose wind-up merchants that occasionally blight it). Those who help fund the running of the club, however they do so, are also supporters. Obviously the primary financial supporters are season ticket holders but there can only be 45,200 of them at any given time! (less away allocation of course)

Like I said no problem whatsoever where you come from as all fans are welcome, just don't be surprised or upset if people question your motives for supporting a club in the first place if you are not from the area and have no ties. I think all this stems from unwritten rules amongst football supporters another one is you can't support a club and then change and support another one, fans call these turncoats, another one is a glory hunter these are fans who pick a club just because its better than there own or because they are more famous or successful. I think united and Liverpool have more Gloryhunting fans than any other clubs and is why so many away fans at Anfield sing to us " we support our local Club " so these are unwritten universal rules of all football supporters...

Cool can I ask what you define as local I am from Northwich and have followed Liverpool for 48 years at Anfield I also regularly drink in Liverpool. Am I local as you see it?

I agree with you completely. The only reason I started this thread is because of a post by one of the other koptalk users on another thread. I felt quite insulted that someone could class me as a lesser fan because I can't go to matches every week.

Stanley Park I`m sorry but your comment re actually being unlucky because you had to endure that live is laughable. I would love to be able to be able to endure that everyweek, unfortunately my Location and finances don`t allow. But, Don`t or a moment think that I and millions of others just switch off the TV and forget it, the scars of a bad display or defeat run just as deep. As does the excitment of looking forward to the next match.

I personally would class a local as someone who lives on Merseyside or had lived on Merseyside or to a lesser degree had links through family with the area and may of moved away. The thing is stanley and you will know this like I do there are a lot of Liverpool supporters who come to watch the team then travel home to where they live and have absolutely nothing to do with the City or its people, some even slag the place off, it does happen believe me...
