my sentiments exactly, especialy when you see other sportsman in more physicaly demanding games, top tennis players have to play a whole tournament in two weeks including five setters and a footballer cant play a game at the weekend and on a wednesday night for fear of burnout, complete joke...

We have been resting players and fielding weak team all through the season to date and here we are not even into February properly and we are out of every cup competition bar the Europa which in all honesty we will be surely bounced out and all chance of 4th place which some thought we would get completely gone, we are barely out of January and the season is virtualy over, what good was resting players, how has is helped or benefited the season...

Newsflash Einstein: There are 2 different reasons for rotating the squad:

1) Rest players to prevent fatigue and injuries.

2) Keeping the entire squad match fit and as good as possible.

After just a week or two into the season when we were playing Hearts. Which point of the 2 above do you think BR had in mind at that time?

think 62 points will be a good total for us this season, but will probably be a couple of points short of 4th.europa league might be more achievable dew to are soft squad and style of play. we should be able to win all 4 games in feb even by rotating the squad

just cant see how winning the europa will help us in the long run. its always great to win a cup but i would take 4th a hundred times over.

Being in the europa cup is just as important as winning it, in fact the probability of winning the europa cup is pretty small, but it does offer experience to the younger players of big game temperament. But even with say the fa cup, a long cup run is good for the fans but for the club its 4th spot that takes precedent

400th? we wouldn't get into the CL with that!

Understatement! 4th has been unlikely for the last 5 years - it's nothing new.

Personally, unless we're actually likely to get near the top 4 we should have made the Europa League our priority at the start of the season. Whilst it doesn't generate quite the same £ that the CL offers, it does keep our name on the european map and opens up a better quality of player to us. Not everyone can play for a team in the top 4/CL but being a big player in the Europa League means we can offer the next best thing and puts us a step ahead in terms of transfers, of those other clubs around us.

Winning the League Cup - £100k
Winning the FA Cup - £1m
Winning the EL - £4.4m
Winning the CL - £9.1m

The above figures are obviously just the prize money and don't include TV money. That said, the EL money is much closer to the CL than people think. It's well worth winning.
