i think it was a good point.

at the start of the game, id have taken a point, at the end of the game we were lucky to get a point.

some other positives, carra was immense, shouting, leading, blocking, just like old times.

hendo was also pretty good.

yes fully agree JayGB, I would have snapped your hand off for a point against Arsenal away before the match. It's great to see Carra back playing well again. The improvement in Henderson and to a lesser extent in Downing is very encouraging. I suppose it's the letting of a golden opportunity against one of our rivals for the 4th place slip from our grasp that has some in a negative mood, but we should bank the point and move on. The green shoots of progress is there for all to see, if they will.

whilst Carra was immense he was also part of the problem. He through leadership kept a narrow and deep back 4 which forced the midfield to sit on top. This in fact invited pressure and reduced our ability to control posession and get out. This is great for last 5mins etc but we did this for far too long during the game.

if we are to progress, we need that leadership qulaity but also need to be 5mtrs further forward. The freekick for the first goal would been further out and Walcott would not have been in the box to shoot. Only the last 5mins did we move forward and press again, Luis nearly got a winner because of it.
we need to be braver as a group to do this.
