No player is bigger then the club and if he goes he goes!!

100million is alot of money and even with clubs sky rocketing prices you could still get a very decent player and cash to spend.

Just say we sold Torres for 100million and bought David Villa for 30million? 70million in difference?

If we got £100m for Torres then Villa would cost at least half of that. Valencia will value him as highly as Torres don't forget.

A £100m transfer will not happen. First of all it came from a Sunday paper which as you know means sweet fa. Secondly, i don't believe Hicks will back track on his statement that Torres is not for sale at any price. Hicks has just sold his baseball team for $500m after buying it 12 years ago for $250m, a 100% profit over 12 years. He bought us for his family's future for half of £217m. After 3 years we are worth at least £400m & increasing. The amount of money his family would receive after 10 years for instance is mind boggling, but justifies the reason why he bought us. Selling Torres would go against what he believes & would only de-value the club & put off potential investors.

I believe this is the main reason why Fernando Torres will still be playing for us next season.

It was estimated in the American press the debt of the Rangers was around $600m. He defaulted on loans last March and that kicked in a higher interest rate. The MLB have been bailing them out since.

So doubt he's doubled his money.

With our debt levels as well I don't think the value of the club is £400m and rising.

Will only rise when the stadium is built - and that will mean even more debt.

The disallowed goal against the spuds could have been the bit of luck that we havent had. Could very well be the turning point in this awful season.

We beat Wolves and Bolton and Arsenal beat manure on Sunday leaves us only seven points behind manure.

we had the same problem when we had owen, route one giving him the ball all the time. i dont like having two or three big players on the team, it upsets the balance. i remember in CL against bayer leverkusen, and the likes of Biscan and Smicer starting to play really well all of a sudden. we need to sort out that mentality, it belittles the "lesser" players and puts too much pressure on the big names.

there have been a few games already this season which many of thought would be the turning points. the 2-0 win over united, the merseyside win etc...

but i agree that the spurs game feels like the real turning point...it was something in the attitude of the players that made me think the worst is over and that we'll keep moving up in the table from now on...

surely we shouldnt be that brittle though, i mean sh!t happens, but we completely unravelled for 4 months. i think we were an accident waiting to happen coming into this season.
