Is anyone else able to accept that this was simply the magic of the cup? We got beat today and fair play to Oldham FC and best of luck to them in the next rounds. We started a very attacking side today and it went to show were needing backup. Ince and Coutinho will provide this and i just thought today that with 4 attackers on our build up play was ruined as we only had 2 central midfielders and there was far to much huff ball played, in the end we had enough chances to get the replay but it never happened and were out. Arsenal Wednesday night is another game. I am. Spurs lost to Leeds today too. It happens.

I don't want Rodgers to go but the defending ths season at times has nt been impressive. This is a very very bad result its not tho is it stanley, read the posts, all they are doing is having a go at me for saying how bad it is that we got beat and that Rodgers is not the man to take us forward, they are more interested in what I say than there own team, very sad, read the posts and see for yourself...

Good because as you said it does happen, Luton, Leeds and Oldham all did it this weekend and Chelsea were also close to been knocked out at Bradford

I have a hanky if you need it? does'nt bother me in the slightest, I thrive on controversy makes for a better debate, funny the way what I say is more important to some people than there own Club's fortunes, funny that...

We can hammer Coates and Robinson all day - they have not played many games and were thrown into the thick of it. The biggest mistake today was that awful midfield that underestimated Oldham completely. Sterling as a third midfielder was like having one less man on the pitch. Essentially it was a 4-2-4 formation - and Oldham just overran Hendo and Allen in then middle. For me, this was where we failed the most. There is absolutely no point in playing your top three attacking line (all centre forwards by trade) when you have such a weak midfield and no width at all. BR got it wrong today - but most of those players are internationals and should have dealt with it. No mate, we were just too light weight in the middle to play against such a physical Oldham and having Coates and Robinson together made us too unexperienced at the back especially as we were playing with 4 forward players. I don't know what BR had in mind, may be he thought Oldham would just defend.
