I think it is obvious that the manager has teh last word whether a player should be bought or not. But the scouts have a great responsibility too. Where does Liverpool have scouts?
Which Countries?
What is the role of a agent? Does a club have to work through agent?
In the Kenwyn Jones situation, what role does rafa play??

Are you saying the scouts recommend Jones to LFC?
Doesnt a coach choose the player he feels is right?

does anyone know what sort of money Jones would cost?
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

£12m figure has been mentioned but I did read something that they wanted £10m cash in one go i.e. no installments

Do actually rate the guy and at that price for a young prem striker it might be worth a punt, just worry abit about his consistency but then again he's gotta be a better option than Babel.

It was Parry's fault that Alonso left too!

What truly beggars belief is reports such as Everton in talks with AC Milan to take Klaas Jan Huntelaar until the end of the season. Where are the scouts, where is Liverpool on this one? mmmmm let me see KJH or some overated arse from Sunderland.
It appears that it is not only the team that "has to be better" Mr Benitez. I don't care about all the excuses anymore about ownership etc, we are now being caught by some very mediocre teams in the Premiership for what seems to be making a point to the Americans. We are all aware they are skint and useless, but who would you rather have Torres and Huntelaar or Torres and Jones?
We are far too slow in the transfer market and i believe all are connections abroad are unravelling.
