yea eliot thats correct but between them there should be more goals. I dont mind if suarez doesnt score as long as sturridge does. If suarez didnt score than who does before sturridge came. We were too reliant on suarez. It would be good if Suarez can keep his scoring going though

I agree IanHorgo. I think that 70 goals a season will be achievable next year. I think this over-eagerness to sign defenders now is frivelous. I think its funny that when we have previously struggled defensively, we cry out for more goals to cover it up, and now we're strong enough in our first team defensively, we advocate going for defensive players. We have been crying out for attackers since September! Lets focus on getting the right guys in.

When you look at our first 11, you can see we are lacking a creative partner for Gerrard in midfield. Whether you bring him in to play centrally or on the wing I don't mind. Having another play there of sufficient quality would be enough to open up more space up front, as proven by Sturridges introduction at the weekend, and the extent to which that changed the game. I think Sneijder is that man for our midfield, we will have to wait and hope Christmas comes again before the end of January.

I know yeah we actually haven't conceded many this year we just cant score bar Suarez, now hopefully with Sturridge and Borini coming in to the team you'd imagine alot of the burden would be taken off Suarez' shoulders they'd both want to be getting at least 10 - 12 goals between them from now until the end of the season.

And JP yeah our midfield has been fairly sluggish all season, for the last 2 in fact but you'd hope with the way Rodgers talks about the team in the press conference's and how wonderful they play that between now and next January they'll really start playing to their potential we've been in this rotten rut for far too long now.

Maybe they already are - "potential" is impossible to measure or predict. I've certainly not seen anything from our midfield to suggest that any of them are capable of more than they are currently giving. Age isn't an excuse and doesn't necessarily mean you'll get better - more players disappear into obscurity than go on to become top players.

I know, i'm speaking from an optimistic point of view, though i cant see it either, in reality Gerrard will probably get 7 - 10 next season and the rest 1 each bar Shelvey in the cups
