Well maybe you have a point but not a great one you go on the whole time like he's constantly diving, diving, diving when in reality he hasn't dived in about 9 or 10 games and Bale, Neville, Pienaar, Defeo etc have all been booked for it recently, Bale 4 times and Defoe twice. Suarez did hand ball it today but to be fair to him for once you have to say he knew it was wrong and he was sure it wasn't given and as you said thats the refs fault really. For his goal against Sunderland the other night he was fouled out the wing and stayed on his feet and scored alot of other players would have went down there he has cut it out of his game a bit.

Jesus. Any f*cking chance to have a go at Luis! You're mistaken. It clearly hit his chest.

the only thing I took from it was yet again the refs side with the better/bigger team. you see it. every week in the prem...smaller sides get nothing playing against the big teams.....we'll get ronbed next week and it'll be swings and roundabouts.....wrong...its incompetence or weakness on behalf of officials

i cant see it as cheating as it bounced and hit his hand he put the ball in the net with his foot not expecting to get the goal hence why he didnt celerbrate , and be honest how many players in the world would have turned to the ref and said that was a hand ball ref not a goal , whether it was our players or there players no one in there right mind would say . just like they dont in other parts of the pitch no one says hey ref i just handballed it .as said its down to the refs to spot these things and we would all have been gutted the other way round if they had won that way im sure that they wouldnt have said ref it was handball at least he was trying to win the game for us . which is more than i can say for some players today who couldnt even put up a fight against a team so low down in the leagues

Massive handball. But who cares, about time a referee being crap worked in our favour instead of the other way around laugh

I agree, handball, unintentional though...Who cares though...How many goals have we had disallowed when they should have stood? These things happen in football, sometimes they cost you and sometimes they go your way...

Here's what Mansfield Town say about it...

And even though that left Mansfield manager Paul Cox devastated after his side produced a magnificent fight back, he insisted that no one could blame Suarez.

“I don’t think Suarez did anything wrong, I thought it was instinctive centre forward play, and really I don’t think anyone would blame him for that,” Cox explained.

“But the body language of the players told you it was handball. He didn’t celebrate and casually smashed it into the net as if to say he’d just handled it, and the reactions of our players showed the referee what had happened too.

“But the officials missed it. You can’t blame Suarez for that - what he does and what he did today was instinctive. He is a fabulous goalscoring talent who brings so much to English football, and we should celebrate that. He did what all strikers should do.
“What I would say, is it’s the hardest job in football being an official, but at that level, you expect them to pick up on it - especially because there were three handballs in total, and we had two that were going towards the goal in their box.

“Look, officials are human beings, but when you look at the way so much is at stake these days, games are won and lost on decisions like that, then maybe there is an argument for technology.”

and I quote: "HE DID WHAT EVERY STRIKER SHOULD DO!"

continued:

Keeper Marriott, who produced a stunning first half performance to keep Mansfield in the game as Liverpool dominated, played down the controversy, and hit back at the cheat claims that seem to consume Suarez.

“To be fair it is football and I don’t think you can call him a cheat - I know people have done that in the past,” he added.

“He has probably done what every striker would do from Sunday football upwards, he has just put his hand out instinctively and has carried on. But when you see Luis Suarez laughing as he kicks the ball across the line then you know what has happened.

“Stewart Downing said to us after, ‘Jeez, I don’t know how the referee missed that’, and so we do feel we were unlucky to lose a game like that in the end, because we were so good in the second half we deserved something.”

Home striker Matt Green admitted he would have done what Suarez did, even after his goal 11 minutes from time clawed Mansfield back into the game and drew them so close to a glorious finale.

And after such a breathless finale, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers admitted he was relieved to have escaped with a win and set up a fourth round visit to Oldham.

“I am relieved, and I have to give credit to my side, because takes character to come through games like these,” he explained.

“This could have been a tricky game, and their crowd were magnificent setting up a wonderful atmosphere and a brilliant tie, so to come through that was a good performance, even if we should have been out of sight by half time.”

Rodgers admitted it was a handball, but insisted there wouldn’t be much of a fuss about it, had not Suarez been involved.

“It hit Luis’s hand, there is no question about that, but it wasn’t deliberate, that’s the feeling I got when I saw it,” he added.

“Straight away I asked the fourth official if it was handball and he said ‘it was, but it wasn’t deliberate’.

“I don’t think it is a discussion. It is not his job to say it was handball. Would you ask the same if it was any other footballer if it wasn’t Luis Suarez? If it was someone else we probably wouldn’t be discussing it, because the officials clearly felt it wasn’t deliberate, which it wasn’t. When you see the replays you can see it pops up and hits him.

“But that is something the guy has to put up with. I am not sure what people want him to do in that position. I’d only say he’s got thick skin, he’s comfortable with his life in this country as a football player, and it’s part of his life. People are beginning to recognise what a brilliant talent he is.”
