stanley Dalglish has lived in Southport longer than he lived in Glasgow mate, Benitez is a Spaniard with no ties to Liverpool or this country, there is absolutely no reason for him to remain in either on the Wirral or this country, none whatsoever, if you took a job in the Ukraine as manager of a team there you would hardly stay there after you were sacked now would you.

Yeah lets boot Johnny foreigner out.

Last time I checked we lived in a democracy which means people can live where they like.

Rafa Benitez has managed Liverpool so that would possibly qualify as a tie.

The notion that he should leave so that those that have managed since (poorly)should feel under less pressure says more about how feeble and insecure they have been than it does about a club legend who fell in love with the area and decided to set down some roots there.

we are in the eu free movement. also to answer your question if i moved to the ukraine for a job and enjoyed the people and the country / culture i would have no problem living their permenantly. as for dalglish living in southport longer than rafa in caldy how does that work is there a minimum living time threshold?

i understand what joe cool is saying similar to when shankly left and hung around the club causing bob issues , and we all know the outcome from that story , now chelsea's manager can live where he likes , but living so close to liverpool does put pressure on managers of LFC , because the fans on here and loads of other outlets say "he still lives local bring him back" etc etc , lets turn it around if gerard houllier had stayed in sefton park and kept commenting on liverpool when benitez we only new to the job IE i want to come back etc etc , it would cause problems , he is now chelsea's manager and not talk about liverpool but he does and did at internazionale which got him into trouble with the internazionale owners taking them from the top to the bottom half of serie a , now if chelsea's manager was just chelsea's manager it would suit me fine but he cant be because liverpool fans cant and are unwilling to move on as stanley about joe fagan and those giants it was a long time ago well so was 2005 yes remember it and credit is due great fantastic etc etc etc but to keep bringing it up its now turning quickly maybe it already has turned into a milestone around the neck of liverpool football club and any manager in the future .

Think you should send him a letter outlining your concerns.
