the stench of benitez is actualy the stench of the european and fa cup. its called success and the only reason we have never fully moved on is because the managers that followed didnt achieve what he did. he is hardly going to stay living in liverpool JUST to lure people in. the argument you are making is absurdly flakey. no its the stench of aquilani , dossena, ngog and starting the clubs decline and the stench of liverpool caught up in this cult that is chelsea's manager , chelsea's manager did bring massive success but also brought massive failure draged the clubs problem through the gutter to gain favor of the fans wasting millions at the same , i think it was Bar who said there should be a level playing field well you'll never have that when liverpool supporters can never seen any negative of chelsea's manager and have him like some sort of god like figure . No chance of that faz when your illogical obsession with Rafa Benitez, our last truly successful manager leads you to view everything about him with suspicion and distrust. Other fans respect the man and are thankful for the success he brought to the club. Get over it.

I treat every manager (past or present) and every player on a level playing field. I have opinions on every one, but I never let bitterness and/or personal hatred skew my judgement, which I'm sorry, but is more than I can say for yourself or joecool. That's the truth and it's as blatant as can be for everyone but yourselves. I know what you're going to say - "I never said I hate Chelsea's manager !!!!" but I don't believe that. Your posts say otherwise, because it's cheap shot after cheap shot - same as the other fella.

I'd also like to point out to yourselves and also to KP (who's been very vocal when Rafa has been mentioned) that this thread was in no way a "get Rafa back as LFC boss" thread in any way. He deserves great respect as a human being - most supporters of the club agree he deserves that. It's in no way linked to the current regime or manager - who I'm fully behind.

The way I remember it, it was the other way around? Rafa found out Pako had interviewed for another job behind his back and saw this as a showing of disloyalty and betrayal, so told him he wasn't wanted anymore as part of his team. I was disappointed to see Pako go, but I honestly can't say I blame Benitez for his standpoint in that situation.

You aint even convincing yourself faz. No one mentions Rafa on this site more than you. You have to let it go, it's consuming you. He was our most successful manager of recent times and there are many on here that have great respect for him. Why that bothers you is quite beyond me, but to be honest faz you're starting to embaress yourself.

I have been behind Rodgers from day 1 and I still am. #teambrendan etc etc. However, to be fair, Rafa has done a lot for the club and city to be grateful for. Brendan hasn't done a tap yet. I admire your unwavering support of Rodgers because I share it, but I find it a bit odd that you think he's more deserving of praise than Benitez is. I just don't think it fits, faz. I don't get it.
