I agree we wont get the very best but there is a lot better out there than Sturridge. Do we not have scouts abroad anymore?

The thought of Sturridge being signed as the best we can get makes me think we should just give up now. I didnt want Borini signed as I had seen him play for Swansea when I used to live there and I knew he was a championship player at best.

I think we have brought in a manager with lack of ambition by owners with a lack of ambition. Rodgers talks a good game but that is about as far as he goes.

Who should we get then?

We should get K. Units from coventry - I've been hearing good things about him.

I would like Huntelaar but think getting him would be very difficult. I think Llorente would come who is 10 times the player Sturridge is.

Damiao(If thats how you spell his surname)-Rumoured that we were offered him on loan last summer

With money being so tight britiah players offer no value whatsoever. Look at Michu at Swansea. Signed for 2 million. Where are our scouts?

Sturridge is as good as Damiao when it comes to being a striker. Sturridge has very similar stats and got them from playing in a arguably stronger league.

Huntelaar would be nice but is pretty inconsistent, but I do like him, but his age could be an issue being at the twilight of his career.

Llorente would be nice too.

Sturridge really isn't as bad as people are making out. When given a decent run, he actually does well, and he's still young. It wouldn't be the worst piece of business.

For me Sturridge is about the same level as Carlton Cole. Simply not good enough. Ok for lower level premisership club but that seems to be our ambition now

This reminds me of when we signed Jermaine Pennant. The same level again as Sturridge and clearly not good enough too. Only problem is Sturridge is double the price

So you like Damiao, but you think Sturridge isn't good enough even though his states when he gets to play consistently like Damiao are easily as good? How does that work?

Damiao hasnt spent most of his career on the bench. He is scored 74 goals in 129 club games. Sturridge has scored 26 goals in 95 club games. Do the maths. What stats are you looking at?
