Why should players need time to adapt to a new club? Most of BR's signings are english and know the league, or they already knew Brendan and had worked with him before. Please stop making excuses!!

You wriggle like a fish on a hook CarheX. I never said the players don't know the league. Discussing a topic with you is a never ending merry-go-round of catch me if you can, and to be honest I don't see the point as clearly you wont concede any point to any of the posters who have disagreed with you here.

City are known for changing managers regularly and they are the current premier league champions......
Chelsea are know for changing managers regularly, and are the current FA cup holders and champions of europe......
Madrid are known for changing managers regularly, and they are the most successful side ever in europe......
city under swales and frannny lee changed there manager like changing socks and went down and down , the man city now is only there because of money masses of money and a new stadium given to them not because they changed there manager .

but hey...

he took over in november and he improved them to mid table by the end of the season.

So in just 5 or 6 months he improved their league position massively. Like I said, that's what good managers do.

or if you like 7 months of competitive football as opposed to 4

Hodgson's results were poor so we sacked him and won the league cup. No point in sticking with a manager if he's no good.

Time doesn't deliver success - a good manager does.

Rafa won the CL in his first season - which bought him time regardless. Don't forget though, he didn't finish in the top 4 that season - and that was a time without a strong Man City or Spurs.

It took 5 years for Rafa to build a title-challenging side, with slow and steady progress along the way.

I'm getting a bit bored of that '£30m' line you keep persisting with. We lost a few ageing players from our squad - Kuyt, Bellamy and Maxi - for a combined fee of £1m as far as I'm aware. Those players need to be replaced. We also lost the likes of Andy Carroll, Charlie Adam, Jay Spearing, etc.

Whatever your opinion of these players, they were all main parts of the first team squad. When they're not there anymore they need to be replaced.

We spent £10m on one player (Borini), £15m on one (Allen), £3m on one (Assaidi), and £1m on a youth player (Yesil).

How the hell does that in your mind equate to some sort of lavish spending spree?? Like £30m is going to build a fantastic new squad in this day and age. We're nearly in 2013, not 1983.
