where do we play Suarez? He's been so effective so far I worry that it might impede him if his position is switched, yet I assume if we get a striker, they'll be brought in to play in the 1st 11. So where do we play Suarez? I've heard people say on the left but thinking about it I don't think he'd be as good on the wing.

Agree I've said this numerous times recently. However we need more striking options.

Suarez is wasted as a striker, and as a striker is very wasteful, but he is one of the world's best and most creative front players, a great playmaker. There are different ways of fitting him in to the side. e.g. on either wing if playing 433, or in behind a centre forward in a 4231 or as one of a front 2 in a 442. We meed someone who can take a lot more of the chances we are creating. Suarez just misses far too many chances to be considered an out and out striker, I don't put much store by stats but if they prove anything, they prove that much.

I agree in that I always thought he'd be better playing off a main striker rather than as the main striker. When they have to double or even triple mark him it creates space that another top striker could exploit. I would like to see him given a go in the attacking centre midfield role, but he'd definitely need to start passing it about more if he played there.

depends on who the striker is i guess but I think Suarez wold be better suited to playing on the left of a main striker! he would draw players to him and open up space for the main striker and be able to create chances as well as take some himself!

Suarez did pretty well on the left for Ajax and made his name in that position although it was more of a false 10 / LW than a true LS.

False 9's False 10's maybe Riena could be our False Keeper and come up for corners all the time wink

That's where he plays for Uruguay too. I think he would be better utilized out wide or deeper. He might not score as many goals, but he'd certainly create enough to cover the difference. He created a lot more chances for us on LW.

I believe this is why we're being linked with players who can play a number of forward positions. Walcott/Sturridge/Suarez/Sterling can all play a number of the front three positions and if we had three of them starting, I'm not sure they'd have defined positions, they'd likely be given the freedom to roam and constantly switch sides etc. At least that's how I see it.

We need a striker, We can't look at what the negatives it brings and look at what ifs, we are badly short up front, if Suarez keeps this brilliant goal scoring form up then fine the other striker will be benched. Fans should stop thinking ahead of themselves when we haven't even brought a striker that we so desperately need.
