In all seriousness though, I like Allen and he is a really good holding mid. He is always ready to take presure of others by finding positions to recieve a pass. Rodgers found a gem.

Good player definitely, but a gem for me is a bit far fetched so far, only time will say. I was for example impressed with Stevie when he started playing and he just got better and better until he peaked of course. You could say the same thing with regards to Owen, who lost it early because of unjuries probably. Rooney looked a gem from day 1, so was Foeler. Don't see Allen in the same class at the same age.

Allen is a goood performer for us, Had a few off weeks but out midfield looks so much better with Lucas there.
He had the most forward passes and tackles in his first game back out of everyone in the League!
Lucas is a major factor in Gerrard's game. We will see Stevie improve over the next few weeks.
4 points off fourth without our midfield even performing at 50%... This can only be a good thing.

To be fair though, he is still only 22, and his game is totally different to all of the players you mentioned, closest being Gerrard.
Allen molds his game on Xavi apparently. And to be fair, in Allens first season with Swansea he racked as many goals and more assists than Xavi did at around the same age at Barca. I'm not saying he;s going to be as good, but Rodgers has admitted that he's had to play him a little out of position, and this is a new team for him. I think after some more time we'll really see what he's made of, and you can't doubt that he has shown flashes of class.
Got high hopes for him, was one of the targets I wanted to see arrive during the summer, along with Michu, who for the life of me wasn't even approached.

Michu was far too cheap for our budget! We need to splash out at least £ 12 M for any player!  £ 2 M what the fück is that? Can't be any good! Now he's valued at £ 30 M by Laudrup so I guess we'll be in the mix of signing him shortly!

Yeah, your right! The funny thing is that about a week or so before they bought him for that amount, people heard about it in the press and yet we didn't do anything about it. Kind of like the Cisse situation.
Maybe I should be a scout, because I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I heard what those 2 players were going for, I was shocked that we didn't go for them having seen and heard of both of them before hand.
The names that we should be going for in the up and coming summer are:

Dennis Praet from Anderlecht
Pedro Leon from Real Madrid/Getafe
Yevhen Konoplianka from Dnipro
Attacking mids:
Benat from Real Betis.
Michel from Levante
Mathieu Valbuena from Maeseille

I know that it seems like I'm just spouting names, but pick up a player for all those positions and not only would it make our first team look better, but it would make our squad much better. But I doubt that we'd even go for any of them because they would be far to cheap and easy to get.

I'd take Pedro (could we really get someone of his calibre??), Benat and Valbuena from that lot. Never heard of any of the forwards you mention though.

I really like that list you put together.... Ibisevic has a proven scoring record in the bundesliga..I would perhaps add to that list Artem from dynamo kiev and Sidney Sam from Bayer Leverkusen.... These are all players available for fairly low transfer fees... Great job with your list, I can see you know your football.
