Sounds like maxi is in the squad for tomoro, just hope he starts. Can see rafa making some excuse that he's not ready or hadn't trained enough. He could give the team the kick up the arse it needs.

depending on who is fit after the midweek game i think he might put carra at right back & play agger & Skrtel cos of them high balls. Id like to see Mascherano & Lucas in the middle. I know they are defensive, but we need to protect that defence. the 2 wide players & forward 2 would be from right to left, Rodriguez, Aquilani, Kuyt, Riera.

This would play a 5 man midfield with Aquilani supporting Kuyt. After watching Aquaman lately i believe he can do some damage if released from defensive duties & with Gerrard injured & away from home this might be a good chance to try it out.

Left back would be Aurelio or Insua. Feel free to toss a coin to choose.

I'd play 3 center halfs, Carra Agger and Skertel, Aureilio left side, Deegan right side Mash, Aquaman in the middle Rearia and Rodriguez floating and Kuyt up front

no point having skrtel in defence against high balls - his bottle has gone since the clash of heads with carra and he is never there throwing himself in to head a ball clear
