But everyone 'doesn't' already know how desperate we are. In this country they do because BR is always harping on about it - but why would a team in a foreign country know our situation? Well, I'm sure if we were to do business with a foreign team they would at least look at our squad. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to take one glance and see that we only have 1 striker.

I think some our youngsters might run out of steam a bit in the second half of the season, that's what seperates the men from the boys and is the reason utd are always right up there, they always kick on.
For us I think its crucial to buy someone in January that excites the team, fans, everyone, that helps give us impetus and momentum, we saw what happens when we dont get it under benitez. Doesn't need to be a world class player, cause we couldn't get one, but someone who does lift the team when they see we've signed him.
I doubt we will do that as I think we probably won't have a great deal of money.

Agreed I thought we'd be back with around 20 million but now I just cant see it happening to be honest, and I cant understand why as were badly in need of a striker I better not hear this "Fabio will be like a new signing" crap when Borini's back.

Haha, those words are definitely coming out of Rodgers' mouth. I'm gonna find this post in 2 months time and bump it to remind us of your prediction when it happens.

Haha, im just so confident were gonna hear it. Its almost a fact he's gonna say it. He's not gonna be anywhere near like a new signing though. When he was fit i honestly didn't see much suggesting he'll get goals, although his movement was great he still doesn't look like he's gonna get goals on a regular basis, hope im proved wrong though.

He is either managing our expectations... Or been told that he has very limited funds until this season is over.
Like the summer all over again. He was told £10 million but that could be including wages...
FSG need to pull something out the bag, Otherwise upsetting the fans in 2 consecutive windows is not a wise move.
I say anything less than £20 million before sales and NOT including wages would be a fair investment.
Anything less and they should just admit they are not fit owners and should sell up!
FSG no pressure but you need to regain our trust after the fiasco which was the summer where we sold / got rid of like 12 players and only brought in 4!!! They gave us an investment of roughly 20 mill in the summer, so presumely you want 40 million a season of investment? Not going to happen mate. Not going to happen at all. Well if not what are FSG doing here? 40m in a major rebuild is a drop in the proverbial ocean, City have spent more than 10 times that. Fergie spent 40m on one player with a squad that came within goal difference of winning the PL last season, so why shouldn't it happen? What we need if we are to compete is multiples of that amount, so come on add your voice to those of demanding propper investment in this club rather than having our expectations managed by penny pinching owners who don't seem to know their arse from their elbow,s

Announcing to the world that we're in the market for a striker isn't the best way to get a good deal. We've just added about £5m to any fee by announcing our desperate priority and showing our hand to everyone. agreed..i dont think we will be in the market for any significant player..this all is media talk...
