absolute rubbish merv - ajax were desperate to get rid of babel and couldnt believe their luck when we wanted him for a reason - he is [oops] ..... absolute dogshit
skrtel has always looked dodgy and rash .... never saw him as first choice and i think he has shown that he isn't good enough to be a back up
agger is just injury prone - if that can be sorted he is certainly good enough
riera is hard to judge with him never getting a run in the side
degen has pace and gets forward and back well - if he gets decent coaching he could be good enough
the rest i agree with though

We didn' ttake the 9 mil for Babel because Rafa doesn't have anyone to replace him. Now that this chamakh bloke is apparently signed up, he may look to off load him in the summer.
We all know that there are some players that are just not good enough, but unfortunately we can't afford any of the good players. true but what will u prefer.. a babel,a voronin,a dossena,a kuyt OR 10-15 million quids or whatever the combined money of these players to sign a nino or a johnson a silva????

Exactly what sort of idiot, let alone a highly paid manager of a recently great football club, has Lucas Leiva as the first name on his team sheet? When you think of the legends that led us to glory in the past, it's even more laughable. Yet week in week out the useless clown who can't shoot, score, head, pass creatively, or do anything remotely positive is on the pitch. And who else would spend around £20 million on a player whose career has been blighted by injury in a league played at half the pace and with a fraction of the physical contact? I said at the time Aquilani would be a flop and unfortunately I'm already being proved right. Only dedicated Europhiles had even heard of the guy before he signed. It's Houllier all over again

looking back on my post it appears i say babel has proven himself err slight mistake there. as for degen im only going by whats ahead of him in the team/squad but maybe rafa got one wrong didnt see enough of him to rate him to be honest.
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Half of this squad are not fit to pull on a red shirt! Lucas, insua, babel, ngog etc. Not Liverpool players and never will be. Can't believe Lucas still gets a start, he puts in medioca performances at best, and rafa still opts to pick him, probably cause he has no one else. They don't realise what it means to be playing for lfc!!

Little if anything wrong about your post Merv. The world and his wife knows Babel possesses a major attitude problem but has done a lot more for us than Lucas Leiva and at least a dozen dross players signed under Rafa. Not that it's difficult... I still see some benefit in keeping him, although precious little and depreciating by the week. Degen has taken some potentially unfair flak but an alleged professional sportsman who is injured 51 weeks a year surely can't expect anything else! Rafa's team selection, personal favourites and absence of tactical awareness is laughable and he must go NOW.
