I doubt that an association of this type would work! For one, it probably wouldn't get the financial backing and therefor the players wouldn't get paid as much as they do now in the FA which is multicultural!
I want to see the best players regardless of race or creed on the pitch at the same time!
I'm not sure if one exists in English football but is there a Players Association (Union)?
In Australia, the AFL has a players Association that deals with the well being of the players and who represent the players for their rights in regards to contracts, payments, race issues and the like and generally they are the ones who make the stand against the racism issue in the game. I have to say that because of this, the players have a voice and their opinions are heard and represented when dealing with the governing body! Racism is virtually non existant now in the AFL because of this and if it does occur, then it is dealt with at many levels. Firstly via mediation and then if a reasonable solution cannot be agreed upon it moves further up the chain and handled by the powers that be. Just a suggestion but it certainly works here and may be worth a shot!!
In relation to having a Black Footballer Association, I would find that to be racist in itself, like it would be to have a White Association, Asian Association etc etc.
At the end of the day does it really matter whether a person is asian, black, white? We are all PEOPLE and should all be treated as just that.....a PERSON!
