Benitez used to rest players regularly from the start of the season and despite not always getting the balance right, we generally finished a season in great form because of it. Footballers, despite having an incredibly good life, are not machines and need to be rested at times otherwise they won't be able to play at full whack the whole season

Training everyday, playing twice a week plus traveling will put a toll on your body and also mind in time. Played a high level in my youth and traveling just around England is a drain let alone around the world some of these players do.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I am not exactly perfectly in shape, I eat junk food most days and smoke 20 fags a day. If I can manage to play football 3 times a week for the full 90 mins, then players on £50,000 per week + can manage it. Supposed professional athletes.

I think it's worth putting out a strong squad. It's not as if we have to travel from Tomorrow's game to Sunday's.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

lol the level you play is I guess much slower then the EPL I guess. The step up for you would be greatly increse

Suso. Played at Charlton at a young level until I snap my crucial ligament then after two years played for maiden vale (which was a league below the 3rd division which it is now. Played in FA cups and travel from Portsmouth upto Newcastle (been very lucky getting paid for something I love). The one thing I know that drain me was the long trips back home after a hard game then getting back onto the training ground to give you all.

The level I play at is also non existant in terms of refereeing decisions, ie you get seven shades kicked out of you every time you play.

I'm confident that people with the energy levels of Suarez can play on a Thursday and a Sunday.

they can play on a Thursday and a Sunday but they couldn't play at a consistently high tempo over a sustained number of weeks with that number of fixtures
