I think Joe is right about athens 07 that game was ours for the taking Rafa threw it away. Rafa is without a doubt the best thing to happen to LFC in years. and at the same time the worst...

the worst should be KD with amount spent and league position. consider that in 1 season too.

KD's points tally in his first 2 halves of the season was I think 67. I agree that the 3rd half was dismal but then not bad in the Cups with 2 finals winning 1.

Kenny Dalglish 2011 to 12 the worst manager I can ever remember. It was not just the performances but the wacky off field stuff, press interviews and of course that £100 million plus transfer funds entirely wasted all in the space of 12 months. Some would say Hodgson but for me he does not even come close to King Kenny. Hodgson is now the england manager and doing a fair job of it. Kenny is working on talksport and playing golf and he will remain that way. Even a division 2 club would not look at him as manager it was absolute madness to appoint him even as interim. Club legend yes of course but manager not in a million years

In Brendan's defence, he has spent 'slightly less' than Kenny did. Dalglish's second stint in charge of us is by far the worst period of time since I have supported Liverpool. The amount he spent, the 'quality' of his signings, the results, his attitude, the league position......were all much worse than anything hodgson, souness, rafa, houllier, fagan, paisley or evans gave to us.

He's won league titles with two teams, and he righted the ship, IMHO. In the spring of 2011, we looked dangerous with him. He lost the plot the next season, but he wasn't anywhere near as bad as roy.

Long time ago 20 years and extranous circumstances he took over the best club in europe with Paisley, Evans, Saunders and Moran as support. I could have won the title with that team. As for Blackburn it was Jack Walker bankrolling at a time when that was new to fottball fantasy football again any of us could have won the title. THe rest of his career at celtic and newcastle when he did not have those premium advantages was a disaster. If I am wrong why is no other club even considering giving him a job you would expect them to be queuing up

LOL. What 'ship'??? If there was a 'ship' veering close to the rocks it was the ship that Hodgson took over. Angry fans, unpopular manager, no money, despised owners etc....When kenny joined us, the fans were instantly ecstatic, 100% supportive of the manager, we had new/respected owners and KD had the biggest transfer fund in Liverpool history to spend. Tell me more about this out of control 'ship' that kenny bravely sorted out.....
