fowler close but not torres yes a top striker but torrres isnt even ahead of michael owen and certainly not ahead of rush or even roger hunt i woouldnt put owen ahead of torres. love him or hate him he was a great striker for us. he had a bit of everything and could make things happen from northing Torres had two really good seasons, his first one he scored loads of goals but was rubbish away, think he scored just four away all season, second he spread it out and scored both home and away, third he started to slide and was poor with injuries and form. I would never put Torres anywhere near Rushie, Fowler or Owen who all scored more important goals than Torres, Torres was decent at best, last two seasons he was a disgrace with his performances and attitude.

Whatever you think about the little rat, "decent at best"? No, sorry, not for me. He was outstanding for us. Okay, in his last 18 months he dipped a lot as you could see from his body language that he wasn't happy and wanted out. He also had a lot of injuries in that time, but despite that, when he played he still scored goals. In his last full season he got 22 goals in 32 games. This is your idea of "disgraceful"??

Rush, Fowler, Owen for me, in that order, as the best LFC strikers. Suarez has a long way to go in an LFC shirt to be held in the same esteem as those guys when it comes to out-an-out strikers.
In saying that, Suarez has a few more tricks up his sleeve than the above three but for clinical finishing he has a way to go. I still love the way Suarez plays but he needs to get his head up a bit more and give the ball to others in better positions at times rather than trying to do it on his own.

Clearly Suarez is not as good a finisher as Rush, Owen, Fowler or Torres. But his general game is good if he could add goals and a little more guile and composure he could be a legend up there with them. He has the potential. He clearly likes the club I thought he would be off after all the unjust stick he has gor for the Evra farce.

The thing I like most about Luis is how he is giving 100% and chasing every ball even if we are 2-0 at 88 minutes. I honestly think if he was chosen to play the full 90 minutes for every game, league, two cups, europe as well as balancing Uruguay, he would do it and put the effort in.

This is your idea of "disgraceful"?? you obviously never really seen Torres in his last two years as he was a disgrace, his body launguage stunk, stopped chasing after the ball and harrying defenders, the sulking, the arguing with refs, the petty bookings and the arguing on the pitch with fellow players, he basicaly gave up, wanted a move and virtualy went on strike to get it, in the end even the way he handled himself in his eventual transfer summed it all up, saying he was happy and then, saying he wanted to move to a bigger Club and win things because he never felt loved. I still dont understand how fans can compare Suarez to Rushie, Fowler or Owen for a start they all scored loads and loads of goals, Suarez scored 11 last season and also I think people need to take other things into consideration like Suarez is a cheat, bites people, is petulent on the field and harmed the Clubs reputation worldwide, Rush Fowler and Owen never done anything as bad as that even Fowler who had his problems so to put Suarez anywhere near those greats after just two seasons or so at the Club is a joke iteself, Suarez will be gone in the summer anyway to a Champions League Club.

Joecool you obviously don't remember Fowler about 100 times more off field problems than Suarez
