Can you reason with a woman on blob?
The hormones can make them irrational and emotional.

Love that term!

Have you ever asked a woman if she's "on blob" when she is? It's [oops] hilarius!

I made the following mistake once when in America to an American.

She said: "I hate driving"
I said: "Period"

She wasn't very amused and it ruined the trip.

I was trying to be native. A period is a full stop the the states, so I was trying to say "you hate driving, completely? end of no exceptions?".
btw she was having her monthly visit at the time. Needless to say we never spoke again after this.

WoW! You didn't know her that well because you didn't know she hated driving but you were privy to the exact date of her period!? Or was that you making use of your superior IQ? smirk

Odd to see Carheex so negative today, since day 1 iv always haf faith im not fickle enough to block out the blatant problems we have with our squad and off field problems also, but come on the window is closed so why not try be optimistic because its going to be a long season, thats a given, and the negativity gets us no where. Look at it like this - for the first time in years we have a young squad (average age is 24) we have a good young manager who plays football the way it should be played, we have out toughest run of the season in our first 5 games (3 down 2 to go) and we have players like Raheem, Allen, Suarez, Sahin, Gerrard, Lucas etc. Hardly a terribe squad, that said if we do get injuries were screwed. But lets just hope we dont. Im sick of most threads on here being about the same thing all day long, its boring.

(Voltaire) "Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers"

Panties twisted? Jam rag out of place? :-P

Some people come on here with emotionally flawed opinions, and are not open to debate. They are stubborn and will not try to open their minds to logic or rational thinking.
It is an observation that could well be wrong but maybe they don't have the intellect to process information for the greater picture.

"If they dont agree with me, they must be stupid"

This is not my point. My point is if they can't understand logical arguments and be open to developing a more rounded opinion, then they might have an incapacity to do so.

fyi - I was told by her friend.

@IanHorgo - well said

Come down off your high horse there Einstein.

Self praise is no recommendation and you assume that your opinions are correct to begin with. Now that in itself is not a logical argument.

And since when was football logical or rational?

Also this is a football forum and not a problem page in Women's Weekly.

FYI A woman wouldn't have told a real man.

Awesome, a thread that's meant to be positive has already got some bickering. Maybe this is what the problem is, there needs to be more unity within the club, support and less ego.

Which bit of my post did you consider to be 'negative'? was it the bit where I said we should show full support at the games?

If the relegation zone is what you get by having a young squad then give me the over 30s anyday. Age has sod all to do with it - the only reason FSG bang on about age is because they are running the club like a business that is concerend ONLY about profit. ie we buy a young player now for £20m, and sell him for £30m when he's matured and transfer fees have escalated - something that you cannot do with a player in his late 20s/early 30s. At no point in my life before these last few years has anyone ever said the age of our squad is significant in anyway.

Its not about player profit its about retaining the value of the investment, meaning that the money goes further in the long run.

A sceptical way of looking at it is so that you don't have to invest as much.
