I am getting a man crush on BR i think...such an out of the box thinker, and keeping downing out of the box might be a masterstroke ..he's quick,good crosser for a left back, bit of a softy in tackles but still could be good

I think thats a great idea, not the seat licking thing, Downing at left back. Agree EMP, BR seems to be an original....wonder if he's got one or two more surprises before the window closes......

Hahaha! On a serious note though, Stewie at LB could work. The centre backs tend to spread out and the DM drop back, which frees the fullbacks to get forward a lot more than a tradional 4-4-2 would.

I can't wait for this window to be closed just so we have a definitive squad set for the next few months.
