So you honestly think Spurs and Arsenal are better than us? I dont. I think were about even maybe we'll be even better than em if we become consistent.

i'm hoping brom was just a one off.
going on our previous u would be more worried about us away to sunderland rather than to arsenal. not even result wise, performance wise. just when the game is a little slower like it is against crap sides we don't know what to do. give us a big team and we fly into them. need to sort this out.

Ok this is not a moan but just to highlight that again we perform against the top teams but following the opening game against west brom we don't perform against the lesser teams.
Until this problem gets resolved we will never get top 4 let alone win the league.
But on a positive judging from yesterday's game just goes to show we do have a squad capable of achieving a high league position. I agree. Some people are going over the top. Even under Hodgson we played some good stuff against top teams. That isn't Liverpool's issue. Also I didn't think the performance was any better than some of the quality stuff we played under dalglish. We certainly created less chances. That sounds doom and gloom, but im still happy with the performance, everything looks good, Sterling and Allen great to have and so young, looking forward to seeing the progression. Just compare the signings Hodgson and BR have made at the start of Liverpool careers as manager Hodgson Konchesky Poulson BR Sahin Allen Assaidi I think that tells you the major differences between BR and Hodgson and for the life of me I can't remember any Hodgson team playing free flowing passing football as we did yesterday vs Man City I don't know where you have even been able to misunderstand anything remotely like me suggesting hodgson and Rodgers teams play similar football. Nor buy similar players. You've just made that up in your head I'm afraid unless you made that point for no reason out of nothing? I said, Liverpool have been able to put performances in and beat big teams for years. Our test comes against smaller teams, the bulk of the games, the bulk of the points, that gets you up the table.

His tactics/teams were dire and that is looking on the bright side.

They started awfully and RVP dragged them back to the top 3 himself. Now he's gone and they have yet to score a league goal. I think we have a shot at them next week. They're in transition too, and their offense has been very anemic for them. With Agger there to anchor Skyrtel, I think we'll be fine defensively.

Arsenal and Spurs and Newcastle don't look that great so far. Arsenal can't score and might struggle this year - Spurs look weaker but will probably buy their way out of trouble this weak - and Newcastle will come back to earth after overperforming last year. all those points may be valid, just your forgeting one thing, we are currently going backwards, what is it about five wins this year and nothing on the horizon to suggest we are going to end this slump, we are at present a dreadful team that cant score a goal in open play.

Nothing to suggest we'll improve on last years poor form? How about a new manager, completely new system, new wingers with Sterling and Assaidi coming into the team, a much strengthened central midfield with Allen and Sahin brought in, and a very good performance where the champions were lucky to walk away with a point. But your right its much easier to ignore all that and focus on being negative. Your fully entitled to your opinion but dont think i've read a single post of yours that wasnt negative. Fair enough maybe things wont change, but there's enough to suggest that things might improve and to be optimistic about. most be depressing for you when you cant even be optimistic for the team when we start to move in a new direction
