Suarez and Borini are not enough, Carroll is out of favour so he's a non starter.

We need a Strker. Forget the wing play, Playmakers etc. No point if no-one is there to whack to ball in the net!

If Borini is played in the middle he might be good enough. Carroll would also be a good alternative to play. I would like to sign another striker but I don't know if the funds are there to buy a worthwhile one and if they won't improve on what we have its just money wasted. We currently have 3 strikers on the books and 0 RW. Johnson isn't necessarily the answer but we need players who can keep the opposition stretched and create chances

The new guy (Ousama Asaidi) we bought is a right footed winger who can play on either side, so that should be all sorted. I thought Borini was the striker we were looking for, but, was very disappointed by his game on Saturday, hopefully he is better than that and he can fit well with Suarez going forward. I watched the game on Saturday and also against Gomel (2nd match) and I was quite confused with who is supposed to play where. Gerard, Borini, Suarez and Downing all had sort of free roles in attack and we looked very vulnerable on the break. If that is the case, I'll be fixed next week against City who have very quick players on the counter attack. Then the question will be, how long will it take us to adapt to the new system and how many games we would lose until we get there.

Borini might be, but that is a might based on 0 evidence. He has never shown anything anywhere to suggest he could be a 20 goal PL striker yet. We are all hoping he develops in to one. But it is all hope and no evidence at this stage. Carroll, well why not give him a shot in my opinion. Thought clearly Rodgers doesn't think he can play that system and so won't start.

Didn't Suarez just sign a new contract?

I think Carroll would be perfect to play in the middle and let Suarez and one other work either side of him. It will give defenders two completely different things to worry about at the very least

lads i can,t see why we bought borini he just is,nt the type of player that we needed so badly i think it was a very bad buy, i hope im proven wrong but i don,t think i will be, please bring in a out an out striker for Christ sake (forgive my language)...

Agree. I think BR should try this instead of trying to sell AC for 15m (don't think we'll get much more). Which 20+ goals striker can he buy with this money. They good news is, with the games coming up we'll know where we stand in about a month, so not a lot of waiting. Not winning the first game can prove to be very tricky for our neew manager

Carrol should be given a run of 5 or 6 games to see how he does.

That didnt happen last year he was in then out the side all the time.

Suarez did sign a contract but I wouldnt be suprised to see him leave within 18 months.
