FSP did ok for us, and even better when he moved to La Liga. If pacheco was going to amount to anything at all we would have seen something by now. I can't see him making at in the top flight anywhere in europe.

Manage him better and he will. He has the fundamental ability to succeed.

But there is also a word in "fundamental" mental. Does he have the mentality it takes to do it?

Management is key. Rodgers possesses the talent to get the best out of many players at the club, including Pacheco.

Agree completely about FSP - came good at Atletico up front with Forlan / Aguero.

I only make the comparison because the potential is there for Pacheco, you can see that the lad is a good ball player, has a footballing brain.. still think it's too early to right him off. I have no doubt he'll come "good" sooner or later - be interesting to see if he features in Rodgers plans..

Coulda sworn Barca were very reluctant to let him go in the first place, they were also looking at taking him back well before LFC started throwing him on loan, when he was playing reserve football. Real Madrid were also reluctant to let Gerardo Bruna go also although he seemed a bit light weight.

I don't believe Le Havre were so reluctant to let Pongolle and Le Tallec, no, money spoke that time.

And I still believe both could have been decent if they had been managed better by somebody less robotic with more modern ideas.

Houllier signed them but Rafa destroyed a lot of players that could have been good. But he did make some to, he was right about Lucas in the end.

I'm not referring to this thread in particular, but generally speaking you're an ar5ehole, and you know far less about football than you think. Why try and mock me for saying pacheco is like the new le tallec? what exactly is wrong with that - there are many similarities:

Both are foreign
Both shone in junior tournaments
Both came over here at a young age
Both had big reputations/hype
Both were attacking players without having a definite position on the pitch
Neither impressed enough to get regular football here
Both players spent a lot of time out on loan at clubs in different countries
Neither have impressed at any of their loan clubs
Both have had several managers to impress but failed everytime
Neither have been pulling up trees in the last 2 years

So before you tell us all about your inside knowledge of barcelona & le havre's reluctancy, or lack thereof, to let the players leave (and why that is even relevant) maybe you could explain the above similarities and tell us why my comparison was inaccurate?

What do you know about ALT/FSP that their managers didn't? You're not qualified to say whether they 'could have been decent'! You are 'almost' as annoying as kopprophet these last few days - snap out of it!

I'm a "Tw@" a "goon" and an "ars*hole" and you have twisted posts into something they're not again, all within the space of 48 hours.

What exactly have I done?

Well done destroying another perfectly good thread CarheeX!

Mission accomplished.

Barcelona actually have reems of kids who look like the next messi but only 1 a year tend to actually make even a back up position (still an incredible achievement, by far the best youth system in the world with ajax being second). Pacheco was just one of those who looked good but can't make step up to big time.

Nothing to do with poor management in my eyes. He's just not good enough. The step up from a reserve league to even championship level, even league 1, is massive in this country. An incredible leap. I think he needs to play abroad, and probably will do well over there.

Well it's a shame its so difficult to remove people from here for good, they either keep coming back, or just turn to account number 55 readily set up in the locker.

You really are just a piece of smug sh*t, who apparently hasn't put one foot wrong since ever being on this forum.

It's a wonder you've been kept for so long, because it seems you've been banned from other LFC forums under the same user name.

I don't claim to be an angel and I've said things on this forum (most of it aimed to the same little minority of people nobody ever seems to agree with) and in 48 hours, in which I haven't said a thing to it or about it.

I've been called a tw@, a goon and an arsehole. None of it was provoked and the only reason youve said it, is purely because I'm supportive of my football club and its players, and your not and rarely ever have been.

It's a complete waste of time reporting your posts, like many others have, because it never seems to result in anything other than another warning to add to the 300 you've already had.

Karma will come son, buckle up.

BS

I exchanged one word in my last post, this after a tirade from it.

I'll never forget when it twisted a post of mine about Hillsborough. And apparently even then "It had done absolutely nothing wrong on this forum" and "I give it, but dont take it".

It was disgusting behavior then, and disgusting behavior now.

Anybody who comes out and announces their support for this club, its manager, its players, it will attack them, in order to derail threads and cause arguments for Craptalk, and i thought this was supposed to be an LFC forum for LFC fans?

This forum had plenty of friendly meaningful debate when I joined, slowly but surely people have just walked away from this particular part of the forum, or refrained from posting, because of people like it and MrILoveMakingNewAccountsBecauseI'mFreeToDoso

But what do we do? Watch this forum eventually die its death because of a minority that are wrecking it, or let it become overrun by people using 5 accounts to agree with themselves in arguments?

I've always wondered why the average Liverpool fan steer away from this forum. Not because of Dunc and what people ave said, but they just steer away from the name and go elsewhere. Bar Lennon once said he struggled to get people to hop in on this forum, and he couldn't understand why people are so militant towards this forum, and it seems only this LFC forum gets this treatment.

I'm starting to understand why.

Craney 'not provocative'?!?!? what a joke. You wouldn't be able to find one post on where I have abused someone out of the blue - I only ever go a bit too far if I'm provoked. And I stand by what I said about your dispicable comments on hillsborough, 100%! You were a disgrace on that day and if this was my forum you'd be banned for life. I actually forgot that was you but it's pretty obvious now, 'mr victim'.
