To me it's clear that Spearing simply isn't LFC material at all.

If we keep naming him in the squad it's a sign that we will not make it into top 4, never mind push for winning the EPL.

Sorry, but that's how I feel. Nothing against Jay personally, but I'm certain we will have to let him go in order to strengthen our squad.

Spearing will suck as many Julian Dicks as it takes to get into that Liverpool team. He was really talking the talk sat next to Rodgers in that press conference. It was almost laughable. "Knuckle down, knuckle down, knuckle down, show the manager he doesn't need to sign anyone in my position"

While I respect his bottle and tenacity on the pitch, he his gonna have to turn into world class player over night, to justify his place at the club.

like everyone has said, he's got the heart but not the talent.

People need to separate where Jay comes from. We all love it when a scoured breaks through but I've seen plenty of other average local payers fobbed off and I don't think Brendan will hesitate to get rid of ANYONE if it's the right thing for the club.

However I think Jay has potential and would benefit playing regular football. He will want to stay and fight but for me he will only be a squad player especially with the competition in the team looking good at the moment.

good lad is jay wish him well but it really shows how bad liverpool's squad is when he started becoming a regular player , he is a squad player at best and at his age he should be somewhere else and nowhere near the liverpool first team .

Not good enough in my opinion and believe me, if he was playing in any other top 6 team he would be long long gone by now. Club needs to start being ruthless and grow a set and tell him to find a team, the truth hurts but he is a championship player at best and I don't think he will improve that much over the coming years. The club is too nice and its hurting us big time.
