It might keep the rain out but how many goals would it get a season.

Also would it fit into the tikki takka system we intend to play.

I couldn't imagine a marquee being very mobile.

Shaggy what if we keep it up then when the opposition is under kick out the guy ropes thus trapping them and we go on and score? smirk

If there hasn't been any success as you say in the lsat 20 odd years bar one or two glorious moments but the fanbase has remained consistent does that not say the opposite?

I don't buy into that rivalry side of this, where every fan no this can't happen because we are bitter rivals but It simply can't happen considering Everton will only pay 10-15% of the cost while Liverpool will pay the majority of the burden. I just don't see how this could work.

over the last 20 years we have always been around about 4th, consistantly playing Champions League and still on the telly alot, its a big difference with the next 10 years as we will be finishing between 6th and 9th, no champions League and with a few F.A.Cups and League Cups thrown in, we wont be as attractive now as before and this will impact, look at how Chelsea have grown in the last 10 years and how City will in the next.

We were 2nd only a couple of years ago and I still have that sinking feeling when I was less than one hundred yards from the little Russian when he banged in the first of his 4 goals (he only got about 4 kicks at the ball and scored with them all!!!) I knew walking out of the stadium that we had just blown our best chance in 20 years to take the crown and so it transpired.
Anyway Ian I think you're way too negative about our chances in the next few seasons, in fact I find it hard to fathom a LFC fan predicting between 6th and 9 for us over the next 10 years! Are you really a Liverpool fan Ian? or just some poor wretch trying to mess us about? If you are a Liverpool fan, then I feel you may well have problems other than football ones Ian

I am a realist unlike it seems you am afraid, I dont know where you think we will be but am pretty sure my idea will be alot closer than yours. We are not going to get into the top four within the next five years thats a cert, I say that because we dont have the money and we certainly dont have the players, the longer we remain out of the top four each season the further away we go, its a catch 22 situation. I look at Liverpool as being in a group of Clubs within the say 5th and 8 or 9 best teams in the country along with Spurs, Newcastle Everton and I will put Villa in that mix for the simple reason they have the infastructure as a Club a bit like Newcastle to get in the mix. I can see the highest any of these Clubs including ourselves will ever get is 5th and at the moment I would say Spurs are the that Club if we improve over the next 2 or 3 years I would like to think we could win our little League and replace Spurs but thats a couple of years off to my reckoning as we are currently sliding, we need to stop that first and foremost.
