I was replying to Faz's post about how bad Ireland were at the Euro's
Rafa might reckon he has a chance of the Ireland job after that shambles.

I'm Irish and Faz is right, we were awful and our performance is officially the worst ever at a Euro's final by any nation.
We didn't honestly expect to achieve much given the group we were in, but the lack of fight was hard to take.
Several players (including senior players) were totally out of their depth.

Nope there is no bright side, we were total crap have i missed something but i will ask again what has benitez got to do with england or ireland or the euro 2012 ? You said because 6 players and the ex manager hodgson had a bearing on it being an English forum that as simple as I can put it. Benitez ex manager too didn't make it a Spanish forum???

Who said the Irish team were British? Your losing it. You point is nonsense and you post and other prove the thread title is correct. England were played off the park by Ukraine and got lucky don't be worrying yourself about Ireland hang on mate england got through no need to bitter about it because eire were dross . I'm not bitter I agree Ireland was rubbish but that is not the point is it? Roy Keane was not a true great he is an embarrassment

The Republic of Ireland have participated in two UEFA European Football Championships finals, those held in 1988 and 2012. They have played six matches: winning one, drawing one and losing four. They have scored three goals and conceded eleven. In 2012, they equalled the worst performance by a team in European Championship history. They finished bottom of their group and were the first team eliminated from the tournament following a 4-0 defeat in their second game. now there the facts truely woeful and thats a fact .
