Downing to play on the left, with Sterling and Bellamy as cover. I know that means we'll rely on Bellamy when he isn't a reliable starter due to his knees, so we'll need to buy someone.
Gerrard/Henderson/Shelvey/Lucs/Aquilani - that's plenty in midfield. Having said that, Joe Cole actually could be a useful player for us going forward, and Rodgers' system will need players more with stamina than outright pace in the centre, so if Cole can still run 10km a game he's good cover.
All our fullbacks have good engines - hope to see more of Robinson this season.
I think we're ok at CB, and this will certainly be Carra's last season. The footie won't suit him one bit, so I'd be worried in games he starts.
Carroll has a part to play in this side if he picks up where he left off. If he's hungry enough he will be good enough for us.
Reina - should relish reverting to a sweeper-keeper role, so again, if he's hungry enough he'll be good enough.
We need another front man because we are in Europe and we've sold Kuyt. Dempsey could be a decent shout at 4m.
We need direction more than replacements.
