In the event that Downing is shipped out, and Maxi possibly leaving we obviously need replacements. Was just wondering everyones views on Aiden McGeady?
I've been watching him play for Ireland since he joined the squad and it seems that his time in Moscow has really helped him improve to become one of Irelands key players.
He's 26, so is young. For 2011-12 season he made 22 assists in 57 games. Only scored 7 goals though (but hey, still better than Stewie D last season). He joined Spartak Moscow for £9.5m in 2010 so would likely be round £15m and maybe we could get rid of Downing in the process.
Worth seeing how he does in the Euros.

My mate reckon's McGeady's the missing piece in the Liverpool puzzle. I still need convincing though. Having said that I was convinced that Everton's new striker wouldn't work out.

i think we should get him b4 the euros starts. he seems to have matured his game and is able to look up now when crossing. think he would take the prem by storm.

Would love to have him ! Sublime skill and good pace ! People critised his final ball but its improved a lot !

I dont rate him that much. watched irelands qualifiers and hes the one player the fans always moansed at. gives the ball awah a lot too
