FSG have made their choice and I'm happy enough with the outcome. Rodgers will bring the dynamic flowing possesion football we as fans crave, but we will need to be patient with this. No more calling for others managers from fans, get behind the new Gaffer and we'll be in a new era of success. FSG will invest again, they want this to work, they have worked really hard to employ the right man and now is the time for Rodgers to analyse his new squad and implement his style of football on an already talented squad.

Spearing is not a positive midfielder in the creative, passing way anyway. He puts in 100% every game and hassles and harries but is unfortunately for him just a little bit off the pace of the top tier

Spearing is a decent at best back-up to Lucas Leiva. Unfortunately he hasn't developed creatively enough to warrant a place in a Liverpool midfield. I like the lad but hard truth has to be told.

Would love it if we could get Joe Allen from Swansea. Now that's a midfielder that that can keep the ball and move it around.
