Surely there's enough money to buy Johnson and Defoe without selling one of our best players to buy 2 more english subs from our rivals. I think Suarez is the only player we could sell who we could really get serious money for in order to strenghthen in another two positions, if we dont sell him we would probably have to sell about 4 players to get the same fee which would severely weaken the squad, I personaly think Suarez will be gone soon anyway especialy after this new outburst about the Evra thing, it's as though the feller delibrately keeps poring petrol on the flames by reigniting it when it looks to of calmed down a bit, Suarez is nothing more than a trouble causer and the quicker we get shut the better. I'm hoping it's another attempt by the media to drag the story out, but it's certainly a worry. The way the club stood by him, I'd be very dissapointed if he asked to leave. Depends who comes knocking. If FSG sell him to either fund other transfers, or for image reasons, we better get used to finishing 8th.

No one else even comes close. If he leaves, I struggle to see where our goals will come from - and it's not like we scored a hatful this year to begin with. At this point in his career, Stevie is more replaceable than Suarez. Heresy, I know, but we need to get used to the fact that Stevie is no longer the heartbeat of the team.

Jermaine defoe. 5-6 Million. for that kind of money i would take him. i think he could work well with AC or suarez If I'm being honest, I haven't seen him. But he seems to attract interest each transfer window. He has scored 40 odd goals this season too. Seems to be a clinical finisher which is something we need. i think your thinking of that Huddersfield player. defoe plays for spurs and has scored around 17 goals

Suarez does'nt score enough goals for us tho does he, 11 League golas all season, 3 of those against Norwich alone can easily be replaced in my book. We need to replace him, he's a trouble causer and the Club will never move on from the Evra thing until he departs, it's only a matter of time before he starts something else anyway.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Schalke. He is the fox in the box that would get us at least 20 league goals a season Everytime I call for him people on this board attack. I guess they just dont realize how deadly this guy is. He isnt flashy but he is clinical. He finishes his chAnces PERIOD. As far as Gomez goes I cant see him leaving Bayern for LFC. Those rumours of him coming here were from his 1st season at Bayern when he was a huge disappointment. He is a star there now.

Sadly I have to agree. I just cringe when I see his name pop up pop up in the media or everytime posts on his twitter account. He has bags of potential but I fear his career will be one of those we have seen the likes of before. Could be so much more but lets himself down with his behaviour etc. Its not just the Evra incedent its all that followed it and lets be honest there has been some rather rash challenges since then too.
I thought he had learned from it but he is still bringing things up and missbehaving. Right now we dont need the hassel.
I wish he could change but I think he has had many warnings down the years and its clear he wont change that side of him.

Suarez does'nt score enough goals for us tho does he, 11 League golas all season, 3 of those against Norwich alone can easily be replaced in my book. Yet Suarez scored more than 22% of the goals scored by the entire team this season (all competitions). He also had 8 assists, which was second best for the club, one behind Adam. And you want to sell him? I think you need to put down whatever you're smoking, mate. We need to replace him, he's a trouble causer and the Club will never move on from the Evra thing until he departs, it's only a matter of time before he starts something else anyway. Which surely explains why United sold Rooney... Oh wait, they didn't sell him because he's instrumental to the way the team plays, just like Suarez for Liverpool. Suarez could learn to control himself more, certainly, but wanting to get rid of him is not the right thought process.
