he has no credentials to his name. his cv is virtually empty. cant be put in the same category as the others. this 100/1 time.

Team America - [oops] Yeah!!!
what is it with Liverpool FC, American Owners and absolute farce?

I have nothing against Roberto and I really want to see what they seem to see but I cant. I really think that this is a bad move.
As Dunc says, why did they bother sacking kenny if theyre gonna replace him with someone equally as risky, this is [oops] poor and reckless management in my book.

This is a massive plus point for the Martinez in my honest opinion. He could have easily gone there and been over awed or just seen money/a stepping stone and accepted anything.
All he has to do is roll over and be the yes man they want and the job is his but he has stuck to his guns and to be honest what he wants is what is also good for the club.
He wants full control which is the way it should be, it will be interesting to see how this goes on Tuesday (if we find out then). Will they finally allow someone the control or will they stick by the whole Director of Football with extra control ethos??
I think if FSG stick to this then Martinez may decline the offer.

agreed, if martinez rejects it then we are dead and buried - cause it shows that whoever does take it takes it for the money cause they ain't going to be allowed control.

i hope fsg cave into roberto, think he has messiah makings myself.. he's a transformer of playing styles, if he gets it we will be play samba football straight away and the nay sayers will be all apologies.

Please clarify, do you mean ever or in a season.

If you mean in a season, do you really expect anyone to achieve that with us in a season with approx £30million to spend?

If you mean ever then fair enough Im sure there will eventually come that breaking point but the guy needs to be afforded time IF he takes the job. This is not all gonna but fixed in a season, at least certainly not to that degree.

I afford the fact you maybe joking but just in case smile

I just have this funny feeling today that he is gonna be a good manager long term but I guess time will tell if our fans actually give him decent enough change.
People call FSG for not giving Kenny time but our fans are starting to get just as bad in some quarters (not all or most....I hope).

Deakin are you serious, one season to sort out the club or hes gone?

So it's going to be a new manager every year then.

Lads IF he takes the job we have to give the man a chance.

I think it time to stop deluding ourselves. We are a club with a great history, but at the moment we are not one of the top clubs

Martinez,s greatest achievement in the next 3 or 4years would be to get us into the Top 4

his brief i'm sure is top 4 for next season..same as it was for kenny this season..a little optimistic with the midfield we have at the moment. will 30m be enough to buy a quicker more skillful midfield..maybe.
