O actually no longer care who the next manager is going to be tbh.
If the office cat can get the team winning and scoring goals, then I'll be a happy teddy, simple as.

Yes - as I said - I find it bewilderbeasting....

I think most of the media reports are absolute rubbish. But since Guardiola was my top choice the moment Kenny left... I thought this last bit of natter was worth entertaining. Note - it's not a rumour about Guariola being a candidate - it's an actual interview transcript of him saying that he might forgo his planned year off and get back into management. The timing is interesting. Bet we'll see a nice pic of Pep shopping with J Henry at the Boston Tea Garden.... and Henry will have a different colour hair dye and a missing foot. Photoshopping is quite a trick to get a hang of if you know what I'm saying old sport...

But Guillem ballague is all over twitter denying the fact that pep would be available so soon..guardiola was actually answering ballague's question when he said he would take MONTHS off before he comes back and as usual the press started reporting he would be available in a month..
Definitely Henry wouldnt like Linda to recharge his batteries for months

Martinez would be a better choice than guardiola in my view. I don't like the headline seduce me that indicates a man who believes he is very important and has many options not a hungry man. Chelsea is a better fit for mim where roman will sack him after a year. Martinez more low key but if he grows in the job he could develop to be a liverpool great.

Gamble yes massive but one worth taking in my view

I doubt we'll even approach him.

I think that Martinez has always been the #1 target. The rest of it is media spin to sell papers etc.

Is everyone happy that we've been approaching the likes of Martinez and Rodgers??

Why not go for someone proven at the highest level?

If we do end up with Martinez and he does improve our league form next season esp at Anfield. I will fully back him.

This could quite easily turn out to be Hodgson PT 2

Just compare quality of the players in Barca & Wigan. Also amount of money spent on the players. Pep inherited the squad which created by Frank Rijkard. Pep didn't sold his best players to buy the new one. Pep Good Manager, good man manager.

Is he can attract the best players? Yes. Is he can create (not inherit) a team like what Arsene Wenger does without over spending ?. I doubt it.

It's time to take a gamble. Every new manager is a gamble. Atleast we are taking gamble on guy(Assuming it's Martinez) who plays better football with one of the worst teams. Not the one who park the bus in front of the goal. Remember Everyone hated Hodgson not only because of the result.Complete Negative football.

Comparing Hodgson with Martinez and saying he is Hodgson2 is too much in my view.

Has Riijkaard 'ruled himself out' yet? If I recall he almost became our manager when Hodgson was sacked. Not sure if it was him or FSG that pulled the plug but I'm certain that it almost happened.

I dont want Pep Guardiola, whats this guy ever won as a manager before he took the Barca job, sounds to me like FSG are aiming to low in the search for a new manager with Guardiola.
