maybe it was 4th place but its not the british mentality to sack without question if 4th is not achieved. we were outsiders for 4th. chelsea,man u ,city,arsenal and spurs were ahead of us ,and had better and more expensive ,more experienced squads.
the british mentality ,in times gone by, would have been to support kenny, 1. because the majority of the fans ,staff and players are behind him. 2. becuase he brought silverware and 3. because of signs of improvement. we batterred the european champions for the last 30 mins of that fa cup final. Point 1. there is ROMANCE AND SENTIMENT, there is no place for it in a profit making business!

In one of my previous posts on this thread I also mentioned that romance and sentiment is what the fans are about, and thats where they belong, amongst the fans. The owners should have no room for romance and sentiment. Thats where we should be, if we are talking about the owners and management.

football is a different kettle of fish... romance and sentiment can help to create revenue, and is probably necessary for longevity. The trick is achieve both. Keep the heart and soul of a club whilst generating the returns you require on your investments.
