Hi guys,

I recently made claims that the manager who comes in will have a hefty transfer budget available. Allow me to ellaborate. After seeing some tof the post about a 20 or 30 million transfer kitty I responded by saying that whoever comes in will have at least double that amount, although I believe they wioll have more in the region of 70 million if not more.

The reasoning is this, if you look at who we are going for, Rafa Benitez, Andre Villas Boas, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp...you realize that these are not managers who will come in to work with 15-20 million. These are top notch managers who would expect the backing of the owners and rightfully so.

You won't attract the likes of PEP, Jurgen or Rafa with talk of oh some 20 million for new players...

If FSG are after these managers, and they are, they obviously do have money to spend and are willing to do so!

You have to believe that a good few players will be moved on. FSG don't seem the sort to put up with the over-hyped garbage we've had pulling on the shirt this year. I expect at least 3-4 departures. Downing, Kuyt, Adam, Henderson etc must be expecting the a call from their agents any day now.

I wouldn't,it will be down to the manager and the DOF to decide that,if FSG think they can make those decisions then we would be in trouble.

Which is precisely why FSG are after their own man to run the show.I think they want to be more hands on when it comes to hiring and firing.

Maybe with the coaching and administration side of things, they should not be involved with who comes and goes playing wise unless it is unsuitable financially.

Definately agree and I don't think FSG will be head over heels to be involved in player transfers...

I completely agree but I'm not sure they do. They've seen a lot of investment squandered on very average players and I don't think they'll be keen to repeat those mistakes. It's not like they have a bottomless pit of oil money to throw at it. They need a good return on every buck invested to make this work.

If what Marko say's is accurate then I would be far more optimistic about next season. I don't think they can afford to move too many players on. Think we'll see Kuyt Adam & Rodriguez go but Downing & Henderson stay. With 3 or 4 top buys we'll be ok. I have to admit I'm worried we'll see Suarez go? What do others think?
