This isnt too bad, although I worry for Coates...Kelly could step into that position too. Sterling in for Downing as well. Shelvey could sub in for Gerrard or Aqua, Elm could do the same unless he is fighting for starting roles

You have a point, Kelly might actually be more suited to this than Coates. Kelly is solid. I think if Sterling proves himself with a few good starts, then he could slot in for Downing. Shelvy and Hendo would be good subs for Stevie and Aqua, and Ballamy for Andy or Luis.

3-5-2 is an interesting system as long as the "fullbacks" stay forward, otherwise it becomes 5-3-2 which is terrible to watch and hard to win with consistently. Just remember to keep Agger on the left of a 3 CB system as he's much more a left-sided player, with Skrtel in the center. Kenny has toyed with the transition between 3-5-2 and 4-4-2 this season by playing Agger at left back and then giving Johnson licence to roam. Against teams lacking adventure (especially at Anfield) I think this may be the way forward.

Midfield needs work especially the wings.
