Surely he needs a rest, Kennys excuse recently was we were suffering from fatigue due to fixture congestion with our cup runs?

Firstly, Enrique needs to lose at least a stone in weight!

He is very suspect defensively and slows down attacks by always turning inside or passing backwards

I really hope Jack Robinson can make the break through next season and really push Jose Enrique to improve his performances.

Or barring this, we sign, Maynor figueora from Wigan who is a class left back.

jose enrique was brilliant until about 6/7 weeks ago when playing every minute of every game is all 3 competitions finally caught up with him, he's knackered. people and their short memories. and the wigan LB is the answer, okay sure.

he's played like 40 games this season and doesn't go away for internationals. its not that he's tired..kenny doesn't fancy him defensivly which is why agger was left back v everton.

evra has played loads more games and gets up and down the pitch more too.

jose turned fat is the problem and can't defend or attack for crap

i think your being very harsh tbh. seems to me people are just saying every player has been cr@p all season and every player needs to be sold. where in actual fact some (only a few) players have had pretty good seasons. and enrique is one of them.

We don't need another small, slow full back, Enrique looks an older version of Insua! When we bought him, many said he was excellent for Newcastle, unlucky not to be in the Spanish squad, but when you see him, you know why he isn't.

Modern football requires fast, athletic full backs the model is someone like Kyle Walker. Spurs got him from Sheff Utd, loaned him to Villa, and he'll replace Johnson for England. Perhaps if our scouting was a little better we might pick up the odd bargain from the lower leagues instead of wasting millions on dross!

lol. Enrique is far from slow, mate, having given up the chance to be an Olympic sprinter in order to play football. If you actually watched us play you would also know he's the antithesis of Insua (who couldn't defend but knew how to cross - most assists by a left back in the EPL 09/10). And at 6' Enrique's hardly "short".
