how awful is he!!! that goal was a joke beaten at near post again. he cant save anything. can someone tell me the last big save he did? i say sell now while we can get a fee

I have a theory,since Xavi Valero left,Pepe hasn't been quite the same although still quite useful between the sticks.

Valero is out of a job at the moment,so somebody give him a shout,John Achterberg was fired in the cull so new keeper coach is required,do the maths.


Or buy a new keeper

Must admit my confidence in him has taken a battering this season.
Think his skills and admiration have been somewhat distorted in the past due to a solid defence that is now crumbling.

he has always been a bit suspect on corners,but his shot stopping has always been good.now that his shot stopping isnt up to scratch whats left?he has a good football brain and distribution but is that enough?

I told people a few weeks ago Reina needs replacing but was shouted down by people judging him on past performances from a few years ago, people need to get wise Reina, is rubbish he went stale which happens, I personaly think he's sulking because he never got his move to Arsenal two season ago.

true, but I don't think we can afford to sell him just yet. Though we do need to bring in some serious competition for him.

Our goalkeeping position is our last worry at the moment. Most of our players haven't shown up this season. You don't go from one of the best keepers in the world to being a useless one that quickly, he is still young but he is having a bad season. Doni is another experienced goalkeeper we have that we can use.

He's not actually useless, just not brilliant unfortunately.
