If FSG are sticking to their original transfer policy then he doesn't fit in! I would like to see him given a season but I can't see it to be honest, he will be on high wages so I would guess we would be looking to move him on!

Also if Kenny is still in charge, why would he give him a chance this season after already binning him off out on loan once before?

Apart from some easy to find stats, how has AA done in Milan? And would Milan take Adam instead?

I can't really say to be honest CarheeX. But I can tell you that during preseason, he was by far the best player in the team. And when he actually did play for us many season ago, he started to show how good he was.

I think he would settle in to the league style. And lets face it, he's creative, looks around and wouldn't cost a bean, stopping us from probably letting go of a player who didn't really play for us for free, after paying 20mil for him.

For the 6mil he was going to go for, I think we should try and keep him, it's a no brainer!

I thought Aquilani only had like 3 more games to play a couple of months ago to hit the number of games, but I would definitely take him back, one of the best players we've got but not... =S

Wasn't there a clause when we bought him where after a certain number of games his fee increased and isn't that why he was loaned out.

I'd take him back and give it a go. Won't cost us anything and is the type of player we need. Can't see it happening though. If not, we need to sell him and no more loans.

Yeah he may be worth another spell with us. The downsides were his injury record and maybe not tough (or fast) enough for prem. But there is no doubt he has talent and this squad is desperately short of that. Too many journeymen for me.

It would be like a new signing. A creative midfielder, italian international for 'free'? go on then! We paid £15-£20m for him and shipped him out as soon as he got fit and started showing some promise? madness. Plus, his value has now reduced due to him being 2 years into his contract without really playing for us. Bring him back, (stick JH in the reserves or out on loan for a year), and give him a new contract. Then if it doesn't work out he'll at least have a better re-sale value.

Better yet, if it doesn't work we can all say it was because he wasn't suited to the prem, as far as I've seen, he's been better than most. Would enjoy him for a whole season, giving him time to settle.

I can see him being worth more than what we're going to get for him after a season with us, that is, if we make good choices and mive on from this season.

I know it's not their decision to make, but I think FSG would be happy if he came. One of the question Ken needs to answer is this:

Q: why are you spending £25m-£30m on useless midfielders like henderson and adam when we have a creative attacking midfielder on the books who is doing the business for someone else and possibly available at a snip??!?

We are lacking quality in central midfield - bringing AA back would help out tremendously and would mean we could spend any money where it is needed. A midfield of SG and AA with LL sitting behind would give us great defense and attack to support a front 3.

We've got plenty of 2nd tier quality for the bench (kenny has seen to that!) so all we need this summer is maybe a striker?
